In July of 2018, Samsung was a co-sponsor with La Cabine T at the Mondial des Jeux Festival in Montreal. The festival was an outdoor event that showcased a wide variety of games. The event was run in conjunction with the Just For Laughs festival, which drew in hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city.
Samsung brought in Retailors Group to assist with providing a VR experience for show patrons attending the event. The goal was to allow patrons to try the Samsung Gear VR first hand and to also be informed about show specials.
In the event that show patrons were interested in learning more about show specials, they would be passed on to the La Cabine T tent to be qualified for a potential offer on a Samsung wireless handset and plan.
The event was an extreme success! Retailors Group was able to provide 6622 product demonstrations over the 12 day event. Moreover, the product demonstrations provided a funnel of warm leads which were converted into sales by the La Cabine T team.
