Retailors Group Inc. recently launched a news website, iNformedNow.com. The website consists for 4 main news categories: Technology, Lifestyle, Entertainment and World.
With the launch of the website, Retailors Group also opened social media accounts for iNformedNow on Facebook, Twitter and Google+. All of the content that is produced on the website is original and the authors of the articles are all a part of the Retailors Group team.
Likewise, the social media accounts are also managed by Retailors Group. Content that is produced on the website is shared on social media as are original pictures and videos. Promotion of the website was primarily driven from social media. Facebook and Twitter ads were purchased to help boost posts and generate more ‘likes’ on the social media pages.
To help further integrate exposure of the website and posts, Facebook Instant Articles and Google AMP pages were designed. The benefits of adding Facebook Instant Articles include faster loading times, extra paid advertising avenues for the website, and theoretical preferential reach on organic views from Facebook. Google AMP also carries similar benefits, namely faster loading times and theoretical preferential reach on Google searches.
The website was soft launched on June 30th with advertising commencing on July 7th. Since launch, Retailors Group has managed to continuously grow website traffic and social media followers. The continued development of the website will allow Retailors Group to test best practices in digital marketing.
